Futaleufú River
The programs are based on the Futaleufú River. The Futaleufú is a large river containing a lot of flat water, riffles and deep pools – all of which give you a chance to catch good numbers of fish on dry flies. Like most tailwaters, the river runs cold and clear and is rich with trout food and large trout. Fly fishing from the boat is authorized. Outstanding wading areas can be reached with browns and rainbows in the 3-6 pound range being common. There is excellent dry fly, streamer and nymph fishing. It is the intention to offer anglers a variety of places to enjoy without sacrificing the comfort the Lodge offers. There is a wide range of rivers, spring creeks, lakes and ponds in the region available which allow for floating, wading and the use of plenty of other fishing techniques (dry, dry-dropper, streamers and nymphs).
