Bair's Lodge
Bahamas

This is one of the top lodges in the Bahamas. They have corralled the island’s best guides to explore the extensive and prolific creeks of South Andros. If you are looking for a lot of shots at fish, great accommodations and sensational food, this is it. Excellent wading and poling opportunities on seemingly endless clear water flats.

Bair’s Lodge provides immediate access to the pristine white-sand and turtle-grass flats of South Andros. The lodge’s home flat regularly produces quality bonefish on favorable tides, and guests can step directly onto the water, lace up their boots, and board one of Bair’s Maverick skiffs without the hassle of trailering boats or riding in vans for daily transfers.

The Deep Creek and Little Creek systems are both within easy reach of the lodge and are especially valuable on windy days, offering protected water and excellent fishing. In addition to the productive flats within these creeks, Bair’s is ideally positioned for daily runs to the remote South and West Side fisheries. The West Side National Park, established in 2002, is an uninhabited stretch of coastline defined by intact mangrove habitat and exceptional bonefishing. When conditions align, it becomes a true fishery of giants, with double-digit bonefish caught and released each year.

The southern flats contrast this with large, roaming schools of bonefish. Grassy Creek is approximately a 25-minute run from the lodge, and on calm mornings anglers can continue on to Hawksnest Creek and the southern keys. These areas see very little fishing pressure and offer consistent opportunities.

The combination of reliable fishing and a remarkably diverse range of habitats has earned South Andros its reputation as the Bonefishing Capital of the World. Bair’s Lodge serves as a direct gateway to experiencing it firsthand.

All the details are looked after at Bair’s Lodge with plush accommodations, carefully crafted dining menus, paired with a relaxing beachside private locale. Bair’s has set the bar since 1989 for Bahamian fishing lodges. A must visit lodge for anglers of all skill sets.
